MACON, Ga. (AP Wire) - A day after the Falcons' blowout win the victory celebration was cut short when it was learned that quarterback/cornerback Dylan Webb incurred a groin injury during the game.
A member of the Falcons coaching staff, speaking under the condition of anonymity, said Friday that Webb woke up with extreme soreness in his groin, perhaps a result of his first score of the season Thursday night against Navy.
"It's possible that he didn't even realize that he had hurt himself because as long as he was active during the game it likely remained stretched out and didn't cause any problems," the source said.
Webb couldn't be reached for comment.
There was no official word from the team and it is unclear whether Webb will be able to play Tuesday night. The source said Webb was "day-to-day."
But then again, aren't we all?
